Rock chip grades up to 28.6% Cu and
5.91 g/t Au from limited samples
surrounding historical workings.
Large 4,500 ha land position in a
world-class mining jurisdiction.
Potential for both IOCG and manto-style
Cu–Ag mineralization.
Excellent access to infrastructure—including
roads, power, ports, and
nearby active mines.
The Mantau project is located 70 km northeast of Antofagasta city and 40 km east of Mejillones in northern Chile. It is favourably located with excellent year-round access and low-altitude infrastructure, sitting within the Coastal Belt of Northern Chile, which hosts several large copper deposits genetically and spatially related to the Atacama Fault System.
Reconnaissance work has outlined copper-bearing iron-oxide breccias and veins, alteration consistent with the IOCG model, and stratigraphic levels prospective for manto-type Cu–Ag.
Combined with proximity to the Marimaca district (including the Pampa Medina/Pias discoveries), Mantau offers a compelling first-pass drill opportunity in a proven copper province.
This metallogenic belt includes manto-type Cu–Ag, porphyry copper, and iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) orebodies.
Nearby operations include Antucoya (Antofagasta), Spence (BHP), Sierra Gorda (JV KGHM), and Mantos Blancos (Capstone). Marimaca Copper Corp has outlined a significant copper oxide resource nearby (200 Mt @ 0.45% Cu).
Mantau lies immediately adjacent to Marimaca’s Pías discovery and within close proximity to the Pampa Medina project.
