Strategic Advisor
Daniel has a proven track record of value creation in the global mining sector and will provide important strategic insight to the company drawn from more than 20 years of experience in project evaluation and capital markets. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Highlander Silver, which is advancing the bonanza grade San Luis gold-silver project in Central Peru. Previously, he served as the President and CEO of Solaris Resources, which revitalized a dormant copper discovery in Ecuador and rapidly advanced it to the development stage while growing its resource base nearly twenty-fold.
Earlier in his career, Daniel spent over a decade advising institutions on investments in the mining sector as an executive at leading global investment bank.
Strategic Advisor
Stephen has over 38 years of experience in the resources sector of which 33 years was with the Rio Tinto Group culminating in the role of Group Executive for Growth and Innovation. In this role Stephen was accountable for most of Rio Tinto’s technical functions globally. Prior this he was Rio Tinto’s global head of exploration from 2011 to 2016.
Stephen’s extensive experience covers a wide range of commodities in over 40 countries, including multiple large-scale copper and gold exploration and development projects, and mining operations. He has been actively involved in the management, exploration, discovery and/or evaluation of many of Rio Tinto Group’s exploration discoveries.
Stephen is the chairman of Datarock, a computer vision AI/ML start-up focused on the resources sector and an advisor to Chalice Mining (CHN:ASX) and EMR Capital, a specialist resources private equity investment firm. He is also a director at the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and advises several other resources and technology companies.
Stephen is a geophysicist by training and holds a Master of Science (Hons) from the University of Auckland.
